FloSports to Stream 2026 Tour de France Exclusively in Canada

The 113th edition of the Tour de France is set to showcase the world’s top cyclists over 3,321 kilometers, starting in Barcelona and concluding on the Champs-Élysées. For Canadian audiences, accessing the three-week event requires a digital subscription rather than traditional television broadcasts. Streaming coverage for all 21 stages will be available exclusively through FloBikes.

Competition for the general classification is expected to be a tight battle between Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard. Pogacar enters the race seeking a third consecutive yellow jersey, which would mark his fifth overall victory. Vingegaard, a winner in 2022 and 2023, is coming off a win at the Giro d’Italia where he completed the rare feat of winning all three grand tours.

The race also introduces emerging talent, including 19-year-old French debutant Paul Seixas, who has already secured victories this year at the Tour of the Basque Country and La Flèche Wallonne. Canadian representation includes Derek Gee-West, an Ottawa native who finished fifth at the Giro d’Italia and ninth in the 2024 Tour de France.

While the event garners significant global viewership, the sports media landscape for cycling rights remains specialized. The shift toward streaming services for niche sports continues to influence how fans consume content, though this contrasts with the broader connected fitness market where companies like Peloton Interactive, Inc. integrate hardware and digital content for at-home exercise.

The 2026 route covers diverse terrain, beginning with a 19.7 km team time trial in Barcelona on July 4. Subsequent stages include a 178 km hilly route from Tarragona to Barcelona, followed by a 196 km mountain stage from Granollers to Les Angles.

What to watch

  • Stage 1 begins July 4 at 10:55 a.m. ET.
  • Competition will feature 184 riders across 21 stages.
  • Canadian viewers must access coverage via FloBikes.
