NBCUniversal Sets Broadcast Schedule for 2026 American Century Championship

The annual celebrity golf showcase returns to Lake Tahoe this week, featuring a mixed-field format that bridges professional sports and entertainment. The 2026 American Century Championship is scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 8, through Sunday, July 12, at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The 54-hole competition will feature a $750,000 purse, with the champion claiming $150,000.

The lineup for this year’s event includes notable figures from the sports world. Defending champion and former NHL player Joe Pavelski returns to defend his title. He will be joined by past winners Stephen Curry (2023) and three-time champion Tony Romo. The field also includes NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, NFL wide receiver Davante Adams, and 2018 Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce. Additionally, the roster features WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, actor Ray Romano, and Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live.

Comcast Corporation, through its NBC and Peacock platforms, will handle the media distribution for the event. Live television coverage is set to begin on Friday, July 10, with broadcasts scheduled across NBCSN, NBC, and Peacock. The first and second rounds on Friday and Saturday will air from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, respectively. The final round on Sunday will also air from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

The tournament begins with practice rounds and the Celeb-Am event on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Competition play starts Friday at 7:45 a.m. local time, leading up to the trophy presentation on Sunday afternoon.
