Newgarden, a Hendersonville native, suffered the injury during a crash at the Indy 500 on May 24. Despite the setback, he has remained competitive in the series standings. He currently sits sixth in the points standings with 270 points, trailing leader Alex Palou, who holds 404 points.

The upcoming Nashville race is scheduled for July 19 at Nashville Superspeedway. The event will be broadcast on Fox Sports following the conclusion of the World Cup final.
