Comcast’s NBC Showcases Rising Star in Latest ‘American Ninja Warrior’ Episode
A 16-year-old competitor from Readington, New Jersey, has successfully transitioned from the youth circuit to the main stage of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior.” Charlie Ball, a former standout on “American Ninja Warrior Junior,” made his rookie debut on Season 18 of the primetime reality competition.
During the episode that aired on June 29, Ball secured a fourth-place finish on the seeding course. This performance earned him a bye directly into the semifinals, with his next run scheduled for July 13. The competition was filmed in Las Vegas in September 2025.
Ball completed the seeding course in 57 seconds, navigating a series of six obstacles including the Shrinking Steps, Rollercoaster, and Domino Effect. By clearing the first five obstacles in under a minute, he unlocked the Mega Wall challenge, scaling the 18.5-foot structure. His time was among the fastest of the night, drawing praise from commentator Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, who identified Ball as a rookie to watch prior to the run.
The event highlights the continued programming strategy of Comcast Corporation, the media conglomerate that owns and operates NBC. Comcast trades under the ticker CMCSA and functions within the Communication Services sector and Telecom Services industry. The company’s portfolio includes the Media segment, which houses the broadcast network airing the series. As of the latest market check, Comcast has a market capitalization of approximately $83.5 billion.
Ball previously competed on the second and third seasons of “American Ninja Warrior Junior” at ages 9 and 11. Now training four to five times a week, he also coaches younger athletes at Next Level Sports, adopting the moniker “Coach Charlie” as he mentors the next generation of competitors.
