Analyst Rowan Kavner noted that while the team “limps into the break” after being swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates, they still hold a five-game lead in the NL Central. Kavner suggested the front office needs to be aggressive at the trade deadline to support the pitching staff and bolster their October roster.

CBS Sports highlighted that the team is exceeding expectations and “on pace to win 100 games,” which would surpass the franchise record of 97 wins set last season.

Fox Corporation (FOXA), which operates the Fox Sports cable network programming segment, saw its stock increase by 2.53% today, closing at $56.81. Meanwhile, Comcast Corporation (CMCSA), the media and technology conglomerate that operates NBC Sports, saw shares rise 2.55% to $24.10.
