Analysts are scrutinizing the team’s prospects following the departure of running back Kenneth Walker III. Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Corporation published a power ranking on Tuesday assessing all 32 NFL teams as camps open. He placed the Seahawks at No. 4, a position Vacchiano acknowledges is surprisingly low for a defending champion.

“The defending champs deserve more respect,” Vacchiano wrote, attributing the lower ranking to the team’s depleted rushing attack. With Walker gone and backup Zach Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL, the pressure falls on rookie Jadarian Price. Despite being the No. 2 running back at Notre Dame last season behind Jeremiyah Love, Price produced notable numbers in 2025, accumulating 113 carries for 674 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. The Seahawks will now look to replicate their development success with the rookie as they navigate the preseason.
