Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he has repaired a long-standing estrangement from his family, a shift he attributes largely to his recent marriage. In a conversation with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt, the four-time MVP explained that getting married prompted him to reconsider his stance on his personal relationships.

Rodgers, who had reportedly been separated from his parents and siblings for nearly a decade, noted that his wife provided the support necessary to reopen those lines of communication. He emphasized that while she did not pressure him, her presence encouraged him to address a narrative that had persisted for years.

“I missed those relationships,” Rodgers told Brandt. “I’m thankful that’s come all the way back around.” The quarterback was recently seen in Nashville with his parents and brother Luke, though his other brother, Jordan, was not present in the photos.

Rodgers married a woman named Brittani in June 2025, a relationship he has kept largely out of the public eye. He was spotted wearing a wedding band at the Kentucky Derby last year. The event is hosted by Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN). As of Monday, CHDN shares were trading at $84.30, up roughly 0.8% from the previous close.

Beyond his personal life, Rodgers addressed his professional future, confirming that the 2026 season will be his last in the NFL. Despite initially planning to retire, he returned to the Steelers after head coach Mike McCarthy was hired. Rodgers led Pittsburgh to an AFC North title and a playoff appearance last season, but the team fell to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round.
