Florio Adjusts NBC, Peacock Schedule Ahead of NFL Season

With the NFL preseason underway, prominent media personality Mike Florio is preparing for a demanding fall schedule that spans traditional television and streaming platforms. As an analyst for NBC’s *Football Night in America* and host of *PFT Live* on Peacock, Florio faces a rigorous seven-day work week once the regular season begins.

This season brings changes to how Florio manages his time between different properties owned by Comcast Corporation. *Football Night in America* will broadcast live from the site of every *Sunday Night Football* matchup, requiring a decision-making process regarding travel. Florio indicated that while he intends to attend games that are reasonably accessible, extensive travel disrupts his productivity for the *ProFootballTalk* website. He retains the option to broadcast from his home studio, a setup he utilized extensively in 2020 and 2021.

Changes are also coming to *PFT Live*. Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms, who will not appear on *FNIA* this year, is increasing his role on the Peacock show. Simms is set to co-host four days per week, excluding Wednesdays, which is an increase from his previous schedule of two to three days. The majority of these segments are expected to be conducted with the hosts in separate locations.

Florio recently addressed his criticism of the San Francisco 49ers regarding the delayed announcement of head coach Kyle Shanahan’s car accident. He stated that he did not contact the team for comment before his reporting, as the delay in publicizing the incident was the core issue. He noted that he has not spoken to team officials or beat reporters regarding the matter since.

Comcast Corporation currently trades with a market capitalization of approximately $87.15 billion. The company’s stock recently saw a minor move, trading near the $24.56 mark.
