Under Armour Camp Highlights Stokes as Top Recruiting Target Visits USC, Michigan

Orem (Utah) defensive end Major Stokes is refining his schedule for official game-day visits this fall, targeting high-profile matchups at several major collegiate programs. As a four-star recruit and the No. 10 edge rusher in the nation according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Stokes’ performance at recent events has solidified his status as a prospect to watch.

Stokes recently participated in the Under Armour Next Camp in Utah, an event hosted by Under Armour, Inc. The physical measurements recorded there underscore his potential for the next level. Standing nearly 6-foot-6 and weighing 240 pounds, Stokes has added 25 pounds to his frame over the last year. He also possesses an 80-inch wingspan and hands measuring over 10 inches.

The recruitment process is heating up as Stokes maps out his autumn itinerary. He plans to visit a slate of powerhouse programs including USC, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama, and Miami. While specific dates are being finalized, Stokes indicated he is likely to attend USC when the Trojans host Ohio State on October 31, and Michigan for their contest against Oklahoma on September 12. He is also considering a late-season trip to Miami.

Michigan appears to be a strong contender early in the process. Stokes has already spent time on campus in Ann Arbor for both a spring practice and a recent three-day visit. He cited a strong relationship with defensive line coach Lewis Powell, noting the coach has been recruiting him since the eighth grade.

USC has also made a significant impression following Stokes’ participation in their camp. He praised defensive line coach Shaun Nua and the overall campus environment, placing the Trojans in his current top five. The university joins Miami as another top-five favorite, where Stokes highlighted the player development history of coach Jason Taylor.
