The ongoing stalemate regarding a contract extension for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has drawn sharp criticism from a veteran NFL talent evaluator. According to a report by Fox Corporation, a longtime scout who evaluated Mayfield coming out of Oklahoma dismissed the quarterback’s reported feelings of disrespect. The scout argued that Tampa Bay revitalized Mayfield’s career and suggested the quarterback needs to align his expectations with his production.
