Ravens Roster Review: Positional Rankings Ahead of 2026 Season

As the Baltimore Ravens finalize their preparations for the upcoming 2026 campaign, the organization’s offseason moves via the draft and free agency are set to be tested. With training camp and the preseason underway, the roster’s composition is taking shape ahead of the regular season opener.

Analysis of the team’s current assets suggests the defensive backfield and quarterback room are among the most stable units on the roster. The safety position is viewed by many evaluators as a primary strength, boasting a combination of elite talent and significant depth. Kyle Hamilton anchors the unit, while recent additions provide the team with flexibility in defensive scheming.

Offensively, the team rests on the arm and legs of Lamar Jackson. After an injury-impacted 2025 season, Jackson is poised to operate within a new offensive system designed by Declan Doyle. The quarterback position benefits from a reliable backup in Tyler Huntley, offering the team stability should the starter miss time.

The backfield remains crowded with veteran presence. Derrick Henry returns as the lead back, continuing his career production alongside younger options competing for third-down and special teams roles. Meanwhile, the defensive line is bolstered by the return of key contributors, including Nnamdi Madbuike and veteran Calais Campbell, aiming to solidify the front seven.

Areas for potential improvement include the cornerback room, which is banking on positive regression from established stars and the development of younger talent after a below-expectation performance in 2025.

The Ravens will continue their on-field preparations at their training facility. The team’s practice headquarters is the Under Armour Performance Center, named after the apparel manufacturer Under Armour, Inc.. Shares of Under Armour are currently trading at $6.40, reflecting a decline of 5.03% from the previous close.

What to watch

  • Performance of the cornerback unit following a subpar 2025 season.
  • Lamar Jackson’s adaptation to the new offensive system.
  • Final roster cuts determining the depth chart at running back and defensive line.
