Giants and Tigers Conclude Series with Pitching Duel at Oracle Park

The San Francisco Giants and Detroit Tigers are set to wrap up their three-game series on Sunday afternoon at Oracle Park. With the Giants claiming victory on Friday and the Tigers responding with a win on Saturday, the final game will determine the series winner.

San Francisco will hand the ball to right-hander Logan Webb for his 21st start of the campaign. The three-time All-Star enters the matchup with a 7-7 record, having logged 125 innings pitched this season. He currently holds a 3.74 ERA and a 3.30 FIP, with 101 strikeouts compared to 31 walks. Webb is coming off a strong performance against the Texas Rangers, where he tossed six shutout innings and recorded eight strikeouts.

Detroit will counter with 25-year-old righty Troy Melton. In his second major league season, Melton has been impressive across 12 starts, compiling a 7-1 record. He has pitched 74 innings, striking out 64 batters while walking 23. His ERA stands at 1.58, accompanied by a 3.78 FIP. Melton has been dominant recently, having thrown seven scoreless innings in each of his last two outings.

The contest is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT and will be broadcast regionally on NBC Sports Bay Area. Comcast Corporation, the parent company of NBCUniversal, provides regional sports programming through its Media segment. Comcast shares were trading at $25.36 on Monday, reflecting a market capitalization of approximately $87.15 billion. The stock saw a slight increase of 0.96% from the previous close.

First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT, with radio coverage available on KNBR 680 AM/104.5 FM and KSFN 1510 AM.
