Comcast’s Peacock Streams Sunday Night Baseball Showdown in Houston
Comcast Corporation is set to deliver a full day of Major League Baseball coverage through its NBCUniversal platforms, headlined by a Sunday Night Baseball clash between the Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros. The primetime contest is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM ET from Daikin Park in Houston and will be broadcast live on NBC while streaming exclusively on Peacock.
The broadcast team for the evening matchup will feature play-by-play commentator Jason Benetti alongside analysts Geoff Blum, a 2005 World Series champion, and former Mariners pitcher Ryan Rowland-Smith. Pre-game coverage will be hosted by Ahmed Fareed, accompanied by Anthony Rizzo, who will offer “Inside the Pitch” commentary providing insight from the batter’s perspective.
Prior to the evening game, Peacock will also host the MLB Sunday Leadoff, a daytime showcase featuring the Baltimore Orioles against the Tampa Bay Rays at 12:00 PM ET. This Sunday doubleheader highlights Comcast’s strategy of leveraging marquee sporting events to drive engagement for its streaming service. In addition to these weekly showcases, Peacock holds rights to stream one out-of-market game nationally every day during the 2026 MLB season.
