Colorado State Football Unveils New Adidas Kits Ahead of Season Opener
Under Armour, Inc. has lost another collegiate apparel partner as Colorado State University officially unveiled its first uniforms designed by Adidas. The Rams revealed the white road jersey, which serves as the inaugural look at the team’s new gear after transitioning away from Under Armour.
The new design features “Colorado State” scripted across the chest, accompanied by the Pac-12 conference and Adidas trademarks. In a nod to the university’s roots as an agricultural school, the back of the jersey displays a prominent orange “A.” The university noted that the jersey currently lacks a sponsor patch, though the design leaves room for one to be added in the future. The reveal did not provide a glimpse of the accompanying pants.
While the white road uniform is the first to be shown, the program has kept its traditional home green kit and the special “Ag Day” uniform under wraps for now. The full suite of new apparel will make its on-field debut on September 5, when Colorado State hosts rival Wyoming in its season opener.
The switch marks a notable change in the collegiate landscape for Under Armour. Currently trading down roughly 0.55% with a market capitalization of approximately $2.28 billion, Under Armour designs, markets, and distributes performance apparel and footwear. The loss of the Rams deal comes as the company continues to navigate the competitive apparel manufacturing sector.
