Haaland Debuts Short Hair Ahead of Premier League Opener
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has arrived for the new Premier League campaign with a significantly altered appearance, shedding his long blond hair for a much shorter style. The 26-year-old forward unveiled the close-cropped look on his social media channels, marking a distinct departure from the hairstyle that accompanied his recent goal-scoring success.
Haaland’s decision to crop his locks contrasts with advice he previously received during a televised interview. Speaking on Fox Corporation programming in July, Haaland recounted a conversation with Zlatan Ibrahimović, who warned him that “the strength is in the hair.” Despite that counsel from his fellow Scandinavian striker, Haaland opted for the trim, captioning a post on X with “New hair don’t care.”
The forward is set to debut the fresh aesthetic on the pitch during his side’s opener against Bournemouth on Sunday. Fox Corporation, the media giant behind the broadcast where the hair advice was discussed, is currently trading at $68.54.
