Comcast to Feature Joey Votto on NBC and Peacock for Sunday Night Baseball

Comcast Corporation will showcase a unique broadcast presentation for Sunday night’s matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. The game, airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock, will feature former Reds star Joey Votto contributing commentary from a batter’s perspective.

Votto is set to appear on the pregame show with NBC Sports host Ahmed Fareed before providing “Inside the Pitch” analysis during the contest. He will join a broadcast team led by play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti and analysts Anthony Rizzo and Jeff Brantley.

The Sunday, Aug. 30 finale at Wrigley Field represents a departure from standard viewing habits. While the opening two games of the series were available on Reds.TV, the Sunday night game is shifting to national broadcast platforms. First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. ET.

Comcast stock was trading up 2.58% by midday session on Friday, with a market capitalization of approximately $96 billion. As a Communication Services giant operating through Media, Studios, and Connectivity segments, Comcast continues to leverage live sports to drive engagement across its NBC and Peacock platforms. Following this series, the Reds are scheduled to travel to San Diego to face the Padres.
