The evening slate features a pair of Western Conference matchups: the Golden State Valkyries head north to face the expansion Portland Fire at 7 p.m. ET on KMAX 31, KPIX+, and Rose City Sportsnet, before the Connecticut Sun take on the Dallas Wings at 8:30 p.m. ET via KFAA 29, NBC Sports Boston, and WFAA 8.

Heightened interest in this season follows the league’s new collective bargaining agreement, which has pushed top salaries into the million-dollar range, and a competitive landscape that includes the Atlanta Dream, New York Liberty, and Indiana Fever alongside Las Vegas. The Liberty are already managing an injury absence, with Sabrina Ionescu sidelined after rolling her ankle in a preseason game against the Connecticut Sun, while the Fever expect a full-strength roster after Caitlin Clark missed much of last season.
