He also pointed to more recent exits, citing a home loss as a favorite to Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals and last season’s divisional-round defeat to Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos, a game in which Allen committed four turnovers.

Wright, a vocal Kansas City supporter, added that Patrick Mahomes has outplayed Allen across all four of their postseason meetings — a matchup that has come to define the AFC’s competitive landscape in recent years.
