Ducks put Disneyland Resort branding on helmets for 2026-27 NHL season
The Anaheim Ducks and Disneyland Resort are extending a partnership rooted in the franchise’s origins, with the resort’s logo set to appear on both sides of player helmets throughout the 2026-27 campaign.
According to the club, the decals will be worn during every regular-season game, Stanley Cup Playoff matchup and practice session. The arrangement goes beyond the ice surface, incorporating in-arena signage, social media content and broadcast integrations.
The deal carries historical weight. The Walt Disney Company, which trades under the ticker DIS and was recently valued at a market cap of roughly $181.84 billion with shares at $104.875 (up 0.67% on the day), founded the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1993, drawing on the success of its 1992 film The Mighty Ducks. The Disney name stayed attached to the franchise until the Samueli family — Henry and Susan — took ownership ahead of the 2006-07 season, when the club rebranded as the Anaheim Ducks.
“The Anaheim Ducks are more than a hometown team, they are woven into the fabric of our community,” Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino said in announcing the partnership. “We’re honored to continue our partnership with an organization that shares our commitment to bringing people together for unforgettable experiences.”
Fans will get a first look at the branded lids sooner than the regular season: the helmets debut at the 2026 Rookie Faceoff this weekend at Tech CU Arena and Sharks Ice in San Jose. Every tournament game will stream live online for fans in participating markets, with Ducks matchups available via AnaheimDucks.com.
The partnership lands as helmet decals have become a growing canvas for NHL jersey- and equipment-based sponsorship, giving regional brands like Disneyland Resort — a fixture of the Anaheim community — year-round visibility across game broadcasts, digital content and in-venue inventory.
