Nelly Korda Debuts Stars-and-Stripes Nike Footwear at 2026 Solheim Cup Practice Round
World No. 1 Nelly Korda turned heads during Thursday’s practice round at the 2026 Solheim Cup, arriving at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, in a custom pair of golf shoes designed around an American flag theme.
The special edition footwear, built on Nike’s Victory Pro 4 platform, features a white base accented with jagged red stripes evoking a waving flag, while the collar lining is finished in navy blue dotted with white stars. The patriotic look stood out against the course as both the U.S. and European squads completed their final preparations ahead of Friday’s opening matches.
According to the release, the flag-themed colorway does not appear to be available for retail, though the underlying Victory Pro 4 model is sold commercially in 10 different colorways. The shoe family is part of the golf lineup from NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE), the Beaverton, Oregon-based footwear and apparel giant, whose shares closed recently at $36.88, down 1.21% on the day and valuing the company at roughly $56.5 billion.
Korda, who enters the biennial team competition with a 10-5-1 career Solheim Cup record, is slated to anchor the U.S. effort when matches begin Friday at 1:40 a.m. ET. She will team with Allisen Corpuz in the opening foursomes match against England’s Charley Hull and Lottie Woad.
The stakes carry historical weight: the United States has not won the Cup on European soil since 2015, and defending the title away from home will require strong performances throughout the roster. While Korda has not confirmed whether the patriotic cleats will make an appearance during competitive rounds, they certainly made an impression during practice.
What to watch
- Whether Korda wears the custom shoes during Friday’s foursomes session and the remainder of the competition.
- U.S. team results as they attempt their first away victory since 2015.
- Any retail release or limited-edition drop of the flag-themed Victory Pro 4 colorway from Nike.
