Sophie Cunningham Reboots Podcast With New Co-Host After Months-Long Hiatus

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham is relaunching her podcast presence with a new show and a new co-host, parting ways with the format that paired her with reality television personality West Wilson.

Cunningham’s previous program, Show Me Something, which she hosted alongside Wilson — her high school friend who later appeared on the reality series Summer House — has not published a new episode since late June. On Thursday, she announced a replacement show, No Hesitation, to be co-hosted with Drew Hanlen, a well-known basketball trainer who works with professional players. Both shows fall under The Volume podcast network.

In a statement announcing the new program, Cunningham emphasized its basketball-first focus, saying she and Hanlen could discuss the sport all day and planned to cover both the WNBA and NBA. She also credited The Volume with helping bring the project to life.

According to a source cited by Front Office Sports, the shift had been in motion well before the announcement. The report indicated that Show Me Something was operating under a one-year contract that was set to expire, and that both Cunningham and The Volume preferred a new show dedicated more narrowly to basketball content.

A Public Split Played Out Online

The change in co-hosts follows a period of visible tension between the two hosts. Weeks after the show went quiet, Wilson posted a TikTok video responding to July comments Cunningham made to ESPN about transgender athletes, in which she said she wanted to “protect women’s sports.” Wilson pushed back in his video, calling the issue of transgender athletes in American sports “borderline non-existent” and arguing that concerns about a threat to sports were mathematically unfounded.

Cunningham, for her part, told ESPN that she had received negative feedback she felt misrepresented her position, saying she never expressed hatred toward transgender people and framed her comments as being about fairness for young female athletes.

The new show, No Hesitation, is scheduled to debut Thursday. The move comes amid a broader surge in athlete-led media, as current players increasingly launch shows that compete with traditional broadcasts for audience attention — a space that also includes major media companies like The Walt Disney Company, whose ESPN division continues to expand its own original programming and athlete partnerships.
