Giants Ownership Shuffle Complete, Carolyn Tisch Blodgett Confirms

The transfer of New York Giants ownership stakes held by Steve Tisch and his siblings into trusts for their children is finished, according to Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, who confirmed the move with a one-word answer—”Done”—during an appearance at the Front Office Sports Asset Class conference in New York on Tuesday.

The restructuring, which the NFL informed clubs about in March, involves the remaining shares held by Steve Tisch, Jonathan Tisch, and Laurie Tisch—Tisch Blodgett’s mother. The siblings inherited a half-interest in the franchise from their father, Bob Tisch, the Loews Corporation co-CEO who purchased 50% of the team in 1991 and died in 2005.

Tisch Blodgett declined to discuss her uncle directly, telling the audience she would not comment on “anything related to him.” The move follows February disclosures from Justice Department documents showing regular contact between Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in 2019. The league said at the time it would examine the communications under its personal conduct policy, and commissioner Roger Goodell pledged to review “all the facts.” Steve Tisch acknowledged in a statement that he exchanged emails with Epstein about “adult women” as well as movies, philanthropy, and investments, saying he never accepted invitations and regretted the association.

For Tisch Blodgett, the transition marks a formalization of an existing role. She has served as a strategic advisor to the Tisch ownership group and described years of involvement in the franchise’s business operations, including international expansion, fan development, and a revamp of the in-game experience. She also led the sales process that produced a 10% minority-stake sale to Julia Koch and her family last year. She declined to outline long-term plans for her ownership role, saying she tries to visit the team facility weekly as a new coach and culture take hold.

Beyond football, Tisch Blodgett brings a media and fitness background: she is CEO and founder of Next 3 Ventures, governor of NWSL club Gotham FC, and previously led global marketing at Peloton Interactive, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTON). The connected-fitness company has faced its own pressures since her tenure; shares recently traded at $4.86, down 2.12% from the prior close of $4.96, leaving a market capitalization of roughly $2.13 billion.
