Giants Ownership Shuffle Officially Wrapped, Says Carolyn Tisch Blodgett

The transfer of New York Giants ownership shares from Steve Tisch and his siblings into trusts for their children is complete, according to Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, who confirmed the move this week while sidestepping questions about her uncle’s recent controversies.

Speaking Tuesday at the Front Office Sports Asset Class conference in New York, Tisch Blodgett answered with a single word — “Done” — when asked about the status of the restructuring, first disclosed in March when the league notified teams that Steve, Jonathan, and Laurie Tisch were moving their remaining stakes into next-generation trusts.

Laurie Tisch is Tisch Blodgett’s mother. The family’s stake traces back to Bob Tisch, the Loews Corporation co-CEO who purchased 50% of the franchise in 1991 and died in 2005, leaving his half of the team to his children.

Tisch Blodgett declined to comment on Steve Tisch, whose communications with Jeffrey Epstein surfaced in Justice Department documents released in February. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at the time that the league would examine the exchanges under its personal conduct policy. Steve Tisch, the Hollywood producer behind “Forrest Gump,” acknowledged a “brief association” with Epstein and said he never accepted invitations to his island.

Rather than dwell on the family’s turbulence, Tisch Blodgett emphasized her expanding operational role with the franchise. A strategic advisor to the Tisch ownership group, she described bringing a “high-tech, growth mentality” to a legacy organization, citing work on international expansion, fan development, and the in-game experience. She also spearheaded last year’s sale of a 10% minority interest in the team to Julia Koch and her family — the transaction that opened the club’s ownership to outside capital.

Beyond the Giants, she serves as governor of NWSL club Gotham FC and runs Next 3 Ventures. Her background includes a stint as head of global marketing at Peloton Interactive, Inc., which trades at $4.84, down 2.32% from its previous close of $4.96, with a market capitalization of roughly $2.13 billion.

She offered few details about her long-term ambitions within the Giants’ hierarchy, saying she aims to visit the team facility at least weekly and focus on the present rather than the future — particularly as the organization integrates a new head coach and culture.

What to watch

  • Any update from the NFL on the outcome of its review of Steve Tisch’s Epstein communications under the personal conduct policy.
  • Future disclosures about the trust structures now holding the Tisch family’s shares, and whether further changes to the franchise’s ownership makeup follow.
  • The Giants’ on-field and business trajectory under a new head coach, including continued investment in international growth and fan experience initiatives.
