An emotional night for AEW as they presented a tribute episode for the wrestler known as PAC, who recently passed away.

PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, passed away on September 27th, 2026 – just a day after competing at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.

As a result, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan announced that Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite would be a tribute show to honour the wrestler.

AEW wrestlers join forces to pay tribute to PAC

The show opened with commentators Excalibur and Tony Schiavone providing tributes and eulogies for PAC, with an exclusive post-show promo featuring the Death Riders, the last recorded appearance of PAC’s career. This was followed by a customary 10-bell salute.

Fittingly, following this, out came Jon Moxley and the Death Riders – the group that Satterley spent the better part of his AEW career with on and off-screen.

The emotions were running high, as Moxley was set to take on Orange Cassidy, an iconic foe of PAC’s from the early days of AEW, with their 2020 bout becoming AEW’s second-most-watched YouTube video of all time.

After an excellent bout, where the pair recreated some of the spots Cassidy did with PAC, out came Bryan Danielson.

Danielson was part of a previous iteration of the Death Riders, known as the Blackpool Combat Club. The Death Riders were formed when the group, which now included PAC, excommunicated Danielson and sent him into retirement.

Rather than engage in any act of storyline revenge, Danielson and Moxley shared a real and emotional embrace in the middle of the ring, mourning their lost friend.

Throughout the night, wrestlers like Hangman Adam Page, Cash Wheeler, Jay White, Ricochet, and Will Ospreay provided emotional and tearful testimonials of what PAC, or rather, Ben meant to all of them.

Groups like The Elite and the New Level also came out to show respect to Satterley and honour his life.

Ospreay and Ricochet also wrestled each other, with both stars having credited PAC as a mentor, and showcased the high-flying moves many fans had seen from the Newcastle-born wrestler.

Ospreay would also perform PAC’s incredible finishing move, the Black Arrow, to win the match.

But the main event of the evening was perhaps the most emotional, as the Death Riders would take on the Don Callis Family in the main event.

Jon Moxley, however, refused to participate and joined the commentary booth. In his place, Bryan Danielson came out again, this time in his wrestling gear.

The former AEW and WWE World Champion came out of retirement and wrestled his first match in two years alongside the Death Riders.

The show ended with the Death Riders, victorious in their match, gathering around PAC’s iconic steel chair that was part of his entrance, left empty, to honour Benjamin Satterley.

Following this, AEW aired an emotional video package to honour Satterley, set to ‘I Know How to Speak’ by Manchester Orchestra.
