Is Conor McGregor moving to Kentucky? Where he said he could land

Is UFC fighter Conor McGregor moving to Kentucky?

In a recent video with Lexington-based Realtor Whitney Pannell, McGregor suggests he might try to purchase Castleton Lyons, a historic horse farm which will be auctioned at the Oct. 28 Keeneland Championship Sale.

“I’m officially throwing in my hat – McGregor boss hat – for the Ryanair estate,” he said.

Hosted on the Wednesday before the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the Keeneland Championship Sale is an invitation-only auction featuring Thoroughbred racing and breeding opportunities. Castleton Lyons, priced at $57.5 million, will be offered as the final lot at the sale hosted at the farm itself. The property has been operated by the family of Tony Ryan, founder of European airline Ryanair, since 2001.

The property has 268 stalls across 16 barns and features 10 homes. The 1840 Greek Revival mansion is around 13,500 square feet and has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, according to the Sotheby’s listing.

“This is more than a horse farm; it’s a self-sufficient equine operation with two centuries of pedigree behind it, offered for the first time in 25 years to a new steward,” the listing reads.

According to a May report from The Irish Times, the MMA fighter owns property in Straffan, Ireland, which is around 15 miles southwest of Dublin.
