UFC 332 weigh-in results: 1 main card fighter misses weight; Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong official

Natalia Silva and Wang Cong are one step away from crowning a new UFC women’s flyweight champion.

Both women successfully made weight Friday in Salt Lake City at UFC 332’s official weigh-ins, rendering their much-scrutinized vacant title bout official. Silva, the division’s top-ranked contender, tipped the scales at 125 pounds for her first title opportunity, while Wang, Saturday’s surprising challenger, came in a half-pound lighter at 124.5 pounds.

UFC 332 takes place this weekend at Salt Lake City’s Delta Center.

The rest of Friday’s official weigh-ins went off without a hitch, with the exception of Esteban Ribovics, who missed weight by a half-pound for his lightweight showdown against King Green. Ribovics, who weighed in at 156.5 pounds, has been fined 20% of his purse for the mistake. He meets Green (155.5) on Saturday’s main card.

The afternoon’s official proceedings are just the first step of a two-step process for Friday’s weigh-ins; ceremonial weigh-ins also take place Friday at 8 p.m.
