Social media reacts to Alabama’s impressive win vs. Mississippi State

Make it 17 consecutive wins for the Alabama Crimson Tide head-to-head against Mississippi State.

On Saturday afternoon, the Crimson Tide traveled to Starkville for a Top 25 matchup against the Bulldogs, and went on to dominate their long-time SEC foe to the tune of a 56-23 victory. Leading the Crimson Tide was another huge game from quarterback Keelon Russell, who threw for three touchdowns while rushing for another.

Alabama also owned the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, especially defensively though where they held Mississippi State to only 18 rushing yards the entire game. The Crimson Tide’s defense also intercepted Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor twice, one of which went for a touchdown, as well as forced two fumbles.

Following is a look at how social media reacted Saturday afternoon to Alabama’s 56-23 rout of Mississippi State in Starkville.

I want you to think about how good Ty Simpson was last year. The 13th pick in the draft. And here’s what’s crazy, Russell is way better. Bama’s a problem for everybody. AGAIN!

I believe that Alabama is the first team to score 45+ in their first 5 games since 2019 Oklahoma did it with Jalen Hurts.

Alabama scored 45+ in their first 6 FBS games in 2018.
