Fantasy football start or sit Week 4: Braelon Allen, Jordan Addison, Kendre Miller

October 4, 2026 · by SPW Pipeline

Injuries at running back and wide receiver are opening up more opportunities in NFL Week 4 for guys like New York Jets running back Braelon Allen, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison and New Orleans Saints rusher Kendre Miller.

Allen is on the fantasy football starting map this week thanks Jets running back Breece Hall’s quadriceps injury that has him ruled out this week.

As for Miller, he could see more work after starting running back Travis Etienne landed on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue.

Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson won’t suit up, either, after he came down with an ankle issue that is forcing him to miss the Week 4 contest.

Here’s our lineup decisions for Allen, Addison and Miller.

The Jets’ backfield will be left to Allen and Isaiah Davis in Week 4 now that Hall has been ruled out. While both backs will see work, Allen should be the lead guy.

We can say that because Allen is listed as the Jets’ No. 2 on the depth chart, and he handled all of the carries after Hall left last week’s game.

Allen also saw three targets, which makes him more promising.

But the matchup is key here, and it’s a solid one for Allen, with the Chicago Bears presenting a middle-of-the-road matchup for running backs this season in terms of fantasy points per game, per CBS Sports.

With a positive matchup and the potential for volume, Allen is a flex option with upside in Week 4.

Verdict: Start

Jordan Addison start or sit advice

No surprise, Addison had his best game of the 2026 season in Week 3 after Jefferson left early with his hamstring injury.

Addison ripped off 90 yards and a score on five receptions, and he showed his big-play ability with that score coming on a 41-yard strike.

With Jefferson out again this week, Addison is the top dog in Minnesota’s passing attack. We’re definitely putting him in lineups this week.

Kendre Miller start or sit advice

Miller has been irrelevant through three games, but he should see more work in Week 4 now that Etienne is sidelined.

The problem, however, is that Alvin Kamara is expected to be the lead back, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, which leaves Miller playing second fiddle.

We also saw evidence of this last week, when Kamara handled nine carries to Miller’s four, and Kamara was far more effective with his totes.

Miller should be left on the bench this week, although he is worth stashing just in case Kamara gets hurt.

Verdict: Sit
