The Golden State Valkyries are two years into existence and already one series away from the WNBA Finals. After taking care of the Dallas Wings in a winner-take-all Game 3 at Chase Center, the Valkyries now get another home playoff game in front of a Bay Area crowd that has quickly turned Ballhalla into one of the league’s best postseason atmospheres. Game 1 against the Las Vegas Aces starts today in San Francisco, and the stakes are higher than they have ever been for this franchise.
The challenge is real, though. Las Vegas swept Golden State 3-0 during the regular season, and the defending champion Aces bring the kind of playoff experience that can make every possession feel bigger. But the Valkyries have home court to start the series, a fully bought-in fan base, and a chance to flip the regular-season script when it matters most. The winner of this series goes to the WNBA Finals, and for Golden State, that path starts today at Chase Center.
Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals tips off at 1:00 p.m. PDT this afternoon, and fans here in the Bay can catch the action with Sling TV.

Peacock is also worth mentioning right away, because it’s the best option for fans who want the full series. Game 1 streams on Peacock along with NBC, and Peacock will carry the entire Valkyries vs Aces semifinal series. That matters because the next couple of games are scheduled for Peacock and NBCSN, and those NBCSN games won’t air on Sling.
