The NFC South will get its much-awaited close-up during Week 4’s "Monday Night Football" broadcast.
The Falcons and Saints will meet under the lights at Caesars Superdome in a matchup that will pit a pair of young quarterbacks in diametrically different positions.
Michael Penix Jr. performed admirably in his first start of the season in Week 3, leading the Falcons to an upset win over the Packers. He has yet to established himself as Atlanta’s hurler of the future, although more outings like the one he put forth against Green Bay could help him land in the good graces of the Falcons’ raucous fanbase.
New Orleans’ signal-caller Tyler Shough, meanwhile, is the talk of the town in the Big Easy. The 27-year-old leads the league in passes completed while ranking second in passing yards and passing touchdowns. At 27, Shough is far from a spring chicken — especially compared to other second-year talents. And yet, there is little doubt where he stands on the Saints’ depth chart in 2026 and beyond.
