Kentucky football will wear ‘Power K’ throwback helmets vs. LSU
LEXINGTON — Will Stein has teased it for months. Since his hire as Kentucky football coach last December, Stein regularly has worn apparel — hats, hoodies, shirts — featuring the "Power K," the logo UK used on its football helmets from the middle of the 1970s into the 1990s.
Now, the "Power K" is back.
The program announced Wednesday, Oct. 7, that the Wildcats will don helmets with the logo later this week. Kentucky hosts LSU at Kroger Field on Saturday, Oct. 10. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and air nationally on ESPN.
