Will Tyler Warren play today? Injury update, fantasy advice for Week 6
The Indianapolis Colts and fantasy football owners were thrown a curveball late last week when tight end Tyler Warren popped up on the injury report ahead of the Week 6 game versus the Tennessee Titans.
Warren was fully healthy going into the week, but on Friday he was added to the injury report with a groin issue and was given the questionable tag.
ESPN’s Stephen Holder later reported that Warren had suffered the injury during practice.
“Tyler Warren’s groin injury happened in front of us during individual drills, but it was difficult to tell whether it was something notable. Media viewing ended right afterward so couldn’t see the aftermath,” Holder wrote.

With Warren’s status still up in the air on Sunday, here’s what we know about his chances of suiting up.

We do not have a concrete answer on Warren’s status as of this writing.
What we do know, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, is that Warren will be a true game-time decision on Sunday.
“Colts consider TE Tyler Warren (questionable, groin) a game-time decision for the Titans game, per sources. Team will monitor how he feels this morning,” Fowler reported.

The Colts will drop their inactives at around 11:30 a.m. ET, so we’ll know for sure then if Warren will suit up.
That said, we’d put his chances of playing at slightly better 50/50, but that’s based solely on the fact that he made it through Saturday without being ruled out.
We’re at least a bit pessimistic because coming down with an injury as late in the week as Warren did is typically bad news for a player’s chances of suiting up.
Tyler Warren fantasy advice

If Warren is active, you have to start him even if he’s on a limited snap count, as the Colts tight end is a locked-in starter on a weekly basis.
That’s because Warren ranks as TE6 overall in fantasy points, according to Fantasy Pros, which makes him one of the best options at the position.
Warren is also coming off his most productive game of the season in Week 5, when he ripped off 83 yards on seven receptions.

If Warren sits, Mo Alie-Cox will be in line for more work, but he’s nothing more than a total desperation play, as Alie-Cox has just three catches for 30 yards this season.
You can probably find a better option on the waiver wire.
