The Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers head into Monday night with significant injury questions that could shape the Week 6 matchup.
Washington wide receiver Stefon Diggs is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury after practicing on a limited basis. Running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt is out with a groin injury, as are quarterback Marcus Mariota, defensive end Charles Omenihu and linebacker Javontae Jean-Baptiste.
San Francisco will be without two of its biggest names. Defensive end Nick Bosa is out with a calf injury, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel is sidelined with a hamstring issue. Four other 49ers, Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Gracen Halton and Mykel Williams, are among those listed as questionable.

Washington’s receiving options are worth watching
Diggs’ status is a significant variable for the Commanders. He had 18 catches through his first four games and gives Washington an experienced target who can help move the chains. If he cannot play, the Commanders will need other receivers to take on a larger role.
The injury list also complicates the backfield. With Croskey-Merritt ruled out, Washington will have to adjust its workload at running back. The team’s final inactive list will provide the clearest picture of who is available closer to kickoff.

The 49ers have to replace impact players
Bosa’s absence removes a major piece of San Francisco’s pass rush, while Samuel’s unavailability affects the offense’s versatility. The 49ers remain undefeated at 5-0, but those absences leave less margin for error against a Washington team looking for a road win.
The game is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium and will air on ESPN and ABC. With both rosters carrying multiple question marks, the final pregame status updates could be especially important.
