The Golden State Warriors are prepping for October 21’s season opener in Los Angeles against the Lakers with fans wondering what Steve Kerr’s recent hard truth about Stephen Curry meant. Curry is entering his 18th NBA season, prompting a surprising take on Kerr recently amid Dubs preseason practices.
Curry took part in a recent practice that ended in scary fashion for Golden State fans as he limped off the court while attempting to shake off an undisclosed injury. He looked down at the court and was followed by Draymond Green as he headed toward the bench.

Fans became afraid and upset in the comments section as they watched the footage of the Warriors superstar and three-point sniper. Golden State is hoping to make a run at the playoffs this season behind Curry and rising star rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, who has an ambitious stats plan for the season.
The Warriors have looked like a revitalized team during the preseason with a 4-2 record and an infusion of new talent, led by Lendeborg. Curry led the Dubs in scoring with 28 and 20 points in his last two games, leading up to October 17’s final preseason game, a loss against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Curry seems superhuman based on the way he takes care of his body and the way he keeps himself out of harm’s way on the court, but he has a long season ahead of him and knows he must reach high levels of play to lead Golden State back into playoff and championship contention.
Curry’s health is paramount as he enters into the twilight stages of his career. His injury is one to watch as the 2026-27 season gets underway this coming week.
