The Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Cleveland Browns in the AFC North, with both teams sitting at 4-2 following the Ravens’ Week 6 loss to Cleveland.
Unfortunately for the Ravens, one of the main reasons why they lost was thanks to a problem that’s been hurting Derrick Henry’s game the last few seasons: fumbles.
ESPN’s Jamison Hensley highlighted how Henry’s fumbling problem led to a Week 6 loss and is also much more than a simple once-in-a-while blunder. Henry’s fumbling issues are a legitimate concern as his biggest flaw right now.
Derrick Henry’s biggest flaw with fumbles leads to Ravens’ Week 6 loss
"Running back Derrick Henry has now fumbled four times since the start of the 2025 season (23 games)," Hensley writes. "That’s the second most in the NFL over that span, behind Buffalo running back James Cook III (five fumbles)."
This fumbling issue hasn’t gone away for Henry, and it might be the sole reason Baltimore lost to the Browns in Week 6.
At the Ravens’ own 35-yard line, Henry fumbled the ball, with the Browns picking it up, later scoring on their ensuing offensive drive.
Henry has had some real fumbling issues with the Ravens, and this blunder against the Browns in Week 6 led to a loss.

Of course, the Ravens were without Lamar Jackson and new center pickup Cam Jurgens. Add in that the defense gave up the go-ahead drive later in the game, and it’s not all on Henry for their Week 6 loss.
But Henry deserves plenty of the blame for the loss to the Browns. If he continues to fumble the ball semi-consistently, like he has the last two seasons, then the Ravens might be in a bit of trouble.
They should be able to trust Henry to eat away at the game clock at the end of games. Instead, the Ravens now have to worry about a fumble whenever he gets the ball.
The Buffalo Bills have a similar predicament with James Cook III, and it’s a shame that these star running backs have such a glaring flaw.
While Henry is a future Hall of Famer and can overcome this issue, it being such a real problem for the last two seasons should have the Ravens, at the very least, a little bit worried about his rushing ability going forward.
