Former ESPN host Britt McHenry has transitioned from sports to politics, but she found herself at the center of a controversy at an NBA game on Wednesday night.
Taking in the game between the Wizards and the Bucks in Washington D.C., McHenry was caught on video throwing a drink on a fan before leaving the arena to jeers from the fans around her.
The altercation, which was reported by TMZ, took place during a 128-116 Wizards win over the Bucks and reportedly had something to do with a Milwaukee player.

TMZ obtained video showing McHenry arguing with fans and tossing a drink at one individual before leaving the arena.

Citing "sources close to" McHenry, TMZ reports the altercation started after fans behind McHenry made disparaging comments about the fiancee of Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma, who once played for the Wizards.
The video shows rally towels and other debris bring thrown at McHenry as she left the section, and she continued to jaw with fans on her way out.
One image obtained by TMZ appears to show a security guard pointing McHenry to the exit.

Who is Britt McHenry?
McHenry joined ESPN in 2017, working as a correspondent for various shows on the ESPN family of networks. She was also caught up in controversy at ESPN, as she was suspended for one week in 2015 after she was caught on video berating a towing company employee.
McHenry, who worked for Fox News after making the transition out of sports, is currently a press advisor for the U.S. State Department. In 2020, she found herself in the news as she battled a brain tumor that was ultimately removed by surgery.
When did Britt McHenry leave ESPN?
McHenry was laid off by ESPN as part of massive cuts in 2017. The layoffs included more than 100 ESPN employees.
Since her exit from ESPN in 2017, McHenry has generally worked in the political sphere.
