College Players to Watch: Week 7

While the New Orleans Saints are preparing to take on the Steelers in Paris tomorrow morning, there are some intriguing college players to watch on Saturday who could potentially become additions to the Saints’ roster in 2027.

Here are three college players to watch this Saturday.

Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

Yes, a wide receiver.

The likelihood of this happening is very low, but Coleman is still an exciting player to watch. He will be matching up against a very talented Ole Miss team tonight at 6:30 PM on ABC.

Coleman and quarterback Arch Manning are still looking to make the Texas offense more explosive, but Coleman’s combination of size, speed, athleticism, and ability to make contested catches makes him one of the best receivers in the class.

Suntarine Perkins, EDGE/OLB, Ole Miss

Perkins will be on the field at the same time as Cam Coleman, and if the Texas offense is sputtering, there’s a good chance it will be because of the impact Perkins is having on Arch Manning and the rest of the Longhorn offense.

Perkins possesses the ability to rush the passer and play off-ball linebacker. His versatility would be a welcome addition to a Saints defense looking for a consistent complement to Chase Young, as well as a player who can operate off the ball and make plays in space.

Justin Scott, DT, Miami

The No. 1 team in the nation will take on Pitt at 11 AM on ESPN, and in the middle of Miami’s defense will be Justin Scott.

Scott is a powerful interior defensive tackle who can play well against the run and affect the quarterback from the interior.

This has been a major issue for the Saints’ defensive front this season. Not having a consistent presence in the heart of the defensive line has negatively affected the Saints’ run defense while also allowing opposing quarterbacks more time to step up in the pocket and find open receivers downfield.

The Saints have a lot of issues, so adding talent at almost any position this offseason would be a breath of fresh air.

Are there any players you’re excited to watch today?
