Bo Bryan will have his opportunity to suit up for the Georgia Bulldogs. The son of country music star Luke Bryan is preparing to hit the ground running with the program he has been rooting for since his childhood.
The three-star quarterback from Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee, committed to Georgia on Sunday, becoming the program’s second quarterback pledge in the 2027 recruiting class. He joins four-star prospect Colton Nussmeier.
Bryan’s commitment came just five days after Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo extended his first Power Four scholarship offer. Bryan accepted during the phone call.
"As soon as I got the call, I knew, Bryan told On3. "I knew that I was ready to do it. I literally committed on the phone with Coach Bobo. It was literally a dream come true."
At 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Bryan is not a highly ranked prospect by national recruiting standards. The 247Sports Composite ranks him No. 2,052 nationally and No. 141 among quarterbacks. Before Georgia’s offer, his scholarship opportunities came from Football Championship Subdivision programs.
However, Bryan has delivered strong numbers in his first season as Battle Ground Academy’s full-time starter. He completed 114 of 155 passes for 2,006 yards, 30 touchdowns and three interceptions while leading his team to a 7-1 record.
The Bryan family has a connection to UGA. Luke Bryan has frequently expressed his loyalty to the program. Bo grew up attending games and idolizing former Georgia stars. Bryan plans to sign with Georgia in December and enroll in January, turning a childhood dream into a reality.
