2027 World Series odds: Dodgers are favorites again; Brewers have second-best odds
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in five games in the 2026 World Series, winning franchise’s first title after making the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982.
They won’t be the favorite to win next year’s World Series, though, according to oddsmakers.
Shohei Ohtani’s Los Angeles Dodgers (+310) open as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook to win it all, followed closely by the Brewers at +500. The New York Yankees (+700) own the best odds of any American League team and are the only other team with single-digit odds to win it all.
The Dodgers were swept by the Brewers in the National League Championship Series, as Los Angeles failed in its quest to win a third straight title. Los Angeles will have a bevy of offseason questions, headlined by whether to re-sign free agent Tarik Skubal.
The Boston Red Sox (11-1), Seattle Mariners (18-1) and Philadelphia Phillies (18-1) have the next-best odds. The World Series runners-up — the Rays — are at 22-1, tied with the New York Mets.
The Houston Astros (40-1) have the longest odds to win the World Series among teams that made the playoffs this year. The Astros lost in two games in the wild-card round this postseason against the Chicago White Sox.

The Colorado Rockies have the longest odds of any team at 500-1.
Looming over all of next season is the potential of a lockout, beginning when the collective bargaining agreement between MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association expires on Dec. 1. From all accounts, barring a shocking turn of events, there will be a lockout — but that doesn’t mean it will last into the 2027 season.
It will certainly be an interesting offseason in baseball.
