Jaguars’ division rival Titans trade DT Jeffery Simmons
The Jacksonville Jaguars still have both of their matchups against the Tennessee Titans on the schedule, but no longer will they have to see defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons in the division.
On Thursday, it was reported that the 1-6 Titans traded Simmons to the Chicago Bears in exchange for 2027 and 2028 first-round picks, along with a 2027 fourth-round selection.
Simmons was a four-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro during his seven full seasons with the Titans as one of the NFL’s most disruptive defensive tackles.
During his career against the Jaguars, Simmons has recorded 2.0 sacks, six tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hits.
The Jaguars will still have to see Simmons this season when they play the Bears in Week 13.
