Giants among teams with ‘some level of interest’ in Colts star RB Jonathan Taylor: report
The Colts were said to be hesitant about moving star RB Jonathan Taylor ahead of the upcoming NFL trade deadline, but it appears those plans have since been changed.
A report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter Saturday morning indicated Indy is now open to it.
Schefter notes that the Colts in active and ongoing discussions, and the Giants are among the teams who have expressed at least some level of interest in the three-time Pro Bowler.
Denver, Green Bay, Minnesota, and the Seahawks have also been in the mix.
Taylor certainly would cost a pretty penny in any potential deal, but he’d bring John Harbaugh and the Giants the workhorse running back he’s been looking for since the offseason.
The 27-year-old New Jersey native has once again been the workhorse for the Colts’ offense, racking up 587 yards and a league-high eight touchdowns over the first seven games of the season.
Pairing him with the hard-nosed Cam Skattebo would give New York an elite one-two punch.
