Titans’ fan-favorite wide receiver Xavier Restrepo gets his first call-up of the season, following the status of rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate being ruled out with a shoulder injury. Restrepo has a rapport with quarterback Cam Ward from their college days at the University of Miami and caught three passes for 41 yards in his two game-day call-ups last season.
Punter Thomas Morstead received the other call-up, following the status of starter Tommy Townsend being ruled out with a left knee injury. Starting kicker Joey Slye had to take over punting duties in the second half of their game last week after Townsend was hurt on a punt late in the second quarter.
Morstead signed with the Titans’ practice squad on October 28th and has familiarity with head coach Robert Saleh, as he was the San Francisco 49ers’ primary punter last season while Saleh was on staff as the defensive coordinator.
The Titans will take on the Bengals at 1 PM EST/12 PM CST on Sunday at Paycor Stadium, with CBS carrying it on TV.
