Jordon Hudson had been a regular presence on the North Carolina Tar Heels’ sideline throughout the 2026 season, supporting head coach Bill Belichick at games throughout the year. That changed on Saturday night after reports surfaced that the two had separated.
Just a day after reports surfaced that Belichick and Hudson had quietly split late last year, Hudson was reportedly nowhere to be seen as UNC hosted No. 1 Miami in Chapel Hill.
Quiet Breakup
On Friday, TMZ Sports reported that Belichick, 74, and Hudson, 25, quietly ended their romance “late last year.” According to the outlet’s sources, the pair remain “committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends.”
TMZ also reported that Hudson has started seeing other people.
The news came as a surprise, given that the couple continued to appear together publicly throughout the year. Hudson famously referred to Belichick as a “WAG” when he attended one of her cheerleading competitions in April, and the two held hands at the Kentucky Derby in May.
Even people inside the UNC program were reportedly caught off guard by the report, considering that Hudson had been at home games against East Tennessee State, Notre Dame, and Syracuse this season, and traveled with Belichick to UNC’s win at Duke.
Hudson Absent
While Hudson had been present at games throughout the season even though she and Belichick were no longer together, that was not the case this weekend as Hudson appeared to skip her first home game of the season on Saturday, according to the Daily Mail.
It didn’t seem to affect the Tar Heels much. UNC pushed the top-ranked Hurricanes to the wire before falling 38-35 in a wild shootout, and Belichick was seen screaming at an official over a call late in the game.
Hudson had long been viewed as more than just a girlfriend to Belichick. She has managed several Belichick-related trademarks, and she made headlines in April 2025 when she famously interrupted his CBS Sunday Morning interview as he was asked how the two met and shut down the question.
But with the end of their relationship, she was no longer in attendance at the game.
